Crafted in Porto since 2014

Time, taught
by hand.

We started CHRON. with a small bench, a loupe, and one stubborn idea: that a watch should help its wearer feel time — not just check it. Twelve years on, every movement is regulated by hand, in the same atelier where we started.

Our manifesto

We believe in the slow craft of an analog watch.

We don't believe in screens, notifications, or subscriptions.

We design for a wrist that's about to leave the office.

Inês Mota

"I left a regulated watchmaker's chair in Geneva for a borrowed bench in Porto. I wanted to make watches for people who choose analog on purpose — not out of nostalgia, but conviction."

How we got here

2014

One bench, one loupe.

Founder Inês Mota left a Swiss watchmaker job to open a tiny atelier in Porto's Bonfim district. The first CHRON. movement was regulated on a borrowed timegrapher.

2017

The kids' line.

After three years of requests from parents, we launched the Kids series — analog watches built to teach time on a five-minute scale. They became our best-selling line within nine months.

2020

The atelier doubles.

We took over the unit next door, added four watchmakers, and started running open atelier tours every Saturday. The waitlist is still nine weeks long.

2023

The Aviator chronograph.

Five years in development. Our first in-house Caliber C-510 chronograph, regulated at the bench, water-rated to 100m. The first run sold out in eleven days.

2026

Where you find us today.

Forty thousand wrists across forty-two countries. Still hand-assembled in the same atelier. Still no screens, no AI, no subscriptions.

The atelier

Twelve hands.
One bench.

Six watchmakers, one master regulator, three apprentices, one design lead, and a dog named Bobina. Every CHRON. passes through every pair of hands before it leaves the building.

We don't outsource the movement. We don't outsource the dial. We do outsource the espresso — that's Café Forcado, two doors down.

From our wearers

What 40,000 wrists say.

★★★★★

"I've owned Swiss watches that cost ten times more. None of them felt as considered as the Noir Bracelet. The dial is the colour of a night sky, not a marketing brief."

James K. — London, UK
★★★★★

"Took it on a three-day coastal climb. The chronograph worked flawlessly through rain, sea spray, and two crossings. Still keeps perfect time."

Marta V. — Barcelona, ES
★★★★★

"I booked an atelier tour on a whim. Left three hours later with a watch and the conviction that I'd been buying the wrong things for years."

Hiroshi T. — Osaka, JP
From the atelier

One essay. Every other Tuesday.

No tracking, no AI-generated noise — just one long-form piece from the bench.
